A fan favorite from Pokémon Sword and Shield is back in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Sinistea, the black tea Pokémon, is a tiny teacup Pokémon that isn’t notable for its stats or its typing. Instead, Sinistea is famous for its two different forms. Sinistea has two forms, Phony Form and Antique Form. These are important as it determines the evolve conditions it needs to turn into Polteageist. To evolve a Sinistea into a Polteageist, players need to give Sinistea a certain held item but the held item needed is different between the two Sinistea forms. And with the Antique Form of Sinistea being rarer than the Phony Form, players will definitely need to catch and find multiple to fully complete their Pokédex. Sinistea locations
Sinistea can only really be found in the later half of the main game. That’s because Sinistea’s locations are hard for new players to reach if not right out impossible. For players that have been fortunate to already find Sinistea in the wild or a trainer battle, they can check the locations of wild Sinistea anytime through the Pokédex. To access this, all players have to do is open the map and go to the Pokédex which is located on the left-side tab. Once in the Pokédex, simply scroll to Sinistea and press the plus button on the controller to bring up the habitat map which shows where Sinistea is located. But for players that don’t have access to that, here are the SInistea locations.
There are only two locations where Sinistea can be found in the wild. The first place Sinistea can be found is in area six of the South Province. This is the area around the town of Alfronada. Sinistea can be found in the grassy areas surrounding the town. The second area Sinistea can be found in is area three of the East Province.
Sinistea is often going be found in the wild at around level 40. Because of this, players should look to use Ultra Balls and Quick Balls to catch Sinistea.
