It is the ninth day of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the last of the second gameweek. The day gets underway with Cameroon facing off against Serbia. Both teams have come off losses and will be looking to make amends and possibly save their World Cup hopes in this fixture. The second match-up will see South Korea who is looking to get their first win go up against the Black Stars in Ghana, who lost their opener to Portugal in a controversial game. Brazil takes on Switzerland in a game they are expected to win once again, as they are the favourites of the tournament. Cameroon (5.00) vs (1.77) Serbia

Serbia opened as heavy favourites against the African Giants, they will both be looking to salvage their dreams after disappointing first games. Serbia looked strong in their ability to hold off Brazil until Vinicius Junior managed to find Richarlison as they struck twice in 10 minutes. Cameroon were taken a step back by a native of their lands as the Cameroonian-born Breel Embolo scored the only goal for Switzerland in their defeat. Nonetheless, the intensity rises as the tournament goes further, expect the unexpected, the odds for a draw sit at (3.65).

South Korea (2.60)  vs (3.00) Ghana

Son and The Republic of Korea are expected to down Ghana as they open as favourites. It’s fair to say there is no distinct favourite in this game. South Korea is looking to get their first win as they go up against Ghana. The question from many African fans will be, can Ghana get their heads back into it and play their own game in this one? Can they beat the Asian Giants? All the questions will be answered in what’s promising to be a closely fought game. The odds for a draw sit at (3.10).

Brazil (1.47) vs (7.20) Switzerland

The Brazilians are back in action, this time against The Swiss. Brazil will be without their star player Neymar but are still expected to make easy work of Switzerland. Vinicius Junior was absolutely excellent in the opener, and so was Richarlison after he found his footing. They managed to put two goals past the Serbians in quick succession. The Swiss downed Cameroon in their opener and will be looking to shock the world tonight. Rodrygo is the expected replacement for Neymar, as Neymar will be out for the rest of the group stages. The odds for a draw sit at (4.50)

Portugal (2.03) vs (4.10) Uruguay

The Portuguese open as the favourites against Uruguay. Can Liverpool’s big money signing make an impact in this big fixture as millions will be watching all across the world? Portugal defeated Ghana in a controversial yet exciting game, it was a five-goal thriller that saw Portugal take their first win by a one-goal margin. The goals came from Joao Felix, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Rafael Leao. This will be important for Portugal as the form of their attackers will be of the utmost importance as that is believed to be their strongest position. Could we see Luis Suarez turn back time with a huge impact in this big game? Can Federico Valverde get it done from the midfield? All questions will be answered in the gameweek 2 closer. The odds for a draw sit at (3.30)
