Season 1 Reloaded has arrived in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, and the update has delivered numerous changes to the battle royale. First and foremost, the update included a number of weapon balancing changes to both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Since the two games are intertwined, the weapon balancing applies to both games.

One of the most notable changes was applied to the Kastov-74u. Prior to Season 1 Reloaded, the Kastov-74u had a top loadout in Warzone 2 and MW2. While that remains true to an extent, the assault rifle was given a nerf in the most recent update.

This nerf wasn’t anything that would cause players to stop using it entirely. It was a small nerf to the 74u’s close-range damage, which was a primary reason why the rifle was so overpowered. It acted like an AR and SMG most of the time, giving players a true advantage over their opposition, no matter what weapon an enemy was using.

Even with this nerf, though, the Kastov-74u has one of the best loadouts in Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded.

Best Kastov-74u loadout in Warzone 2

The Kastov-74u can be used either as a submachine gun or assault rifle, depending on the player’s preference. Our loadout for the gun is more catered toward mobility, meaning it might be better suited as an SMG. However, even with those attachments, the 74u can eliminate enemies at long range with no issues.

  • Muzzle: RF Crown 50
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Stock: Markeev R7 Stock
  • Rear Grip: True Tac Grip
  • Ammunition: 5.45 High Velocity

The first two attachments, the RF Crown 50 and FTAC Ripper 56, help out with recoil control and stability to make the 74u even stronger at mid-long range. Then, there are two attachments, the Markeev R7 Stock and True Tac Grip, to vastly improve mobility. Finally, we have the 5.45 High Velocity ammo to improve bullet velocity.
